Research interests on the genetic and genomic basis of legumes complex traits, such as nutritional and organoleptic quality, resistance to fungal diseases and drought, mainly in common bean and grass pea.
Current Vice President of the International Legume Society.
Editor-in-Chief of Legume Perspectives, the journal of ILS.
